1 set sock needles No. 2

1 card Nylon for heel and toe reinforcement

Wind 4 bobbins of M, 5 bobbins of L, take 8 long
strands of D, 4 long strands of C.
With M and No. 1 needles cast on 64 sts. and work in ribbing K 1, P 1 for 3 inch. Break off yarn. Change to No. 2 needles, stock, st. and pattern. Work across next 32 sts. for instep as follows: K 1 M, 1 D, 5 M, 2 C, 5 M, 1 D, 2 M, 1 D, 5 M, 2 C, 5 M, 1 D, 1 M. Slip the rem. 16 sts. to a holder. Work over instep sts. only as shown on chart and slip the sts. to a sock needle (2nd needle). From now on follow instructions for Diamond Chevron Socks Pattern starting with Heel.
