   These designs are made of J. & P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen or Clark's O.N.T. Cronita; and size 5 Pearl Cotton or Mercerized Crochet. Use double point steel knitting needles, or 2 millimeter size.

   Cast on 20 sts. 1st row: K across this and all odd rows. 2nd row: Sl 1 st, k 2, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, sl 1 st, k 1, pass sl st over last k st, thread over, k 1, k 2 together, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, k 3, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, k 1. 4th row: Sl 1, k 3, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, sl 1 st, k 2 together, pass sl st over last k st, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, k 5, * thread over, k 2 together. Repeat from * 2 more times.

6th row: Sl 1, k 1, k 2 together, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, k 3, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, sl 1 st, k 1, pass sl st over last k st, k 1, * k 2 together, thread over. Repeat from * 2 more times, k 2 together. 8th row: Sl 1, k 2 together, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, k 5, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, sl 1 st, k 2 together, pass sl st over last k st, * thread over, k 2 together. Repeat from * 2 more times. This completes pattern. Repeat for desired length.
