Marksman Gloves Pattern #S-115

Pattern

Sizes Small, Medium and Large

MATERIALS:
CHADWICK'S RED HEART KNITTING WORSTED, 4 balls (1 oz. balls).
Clark's O.N.T. Bone Sock Needles, 1 set No. 5.

GAUGE: 5½ sts make 1 inch; 7 rnds make 1 inch.

Sizes	Small	Medium	Large
Follow directions for Mittens until shaping for thumb gore is completed and there are on needles	38 sts	40 sts	42 sts
Discontinue p-ribs and work around in stockinette st until glove, when tried on, reaches to the base of forefinger, or for	1½"	1¾"	2"
Put glove on, and with safety pins mark off for forefinger	11 sts	12 sts	12 sts
K around to sts of forefinger, k the sts of forefinger, then take all other sts off on a thread, to be worked later.
FOREFINGER … Follow directions for forefinger of Plain Gloves. Slip remaining sts off thread onto 3 needles. Attach yarn, pick up 2 sts on the 2 sts cast on for forefinger and work around until piece measures 1 inch less than desired length, or for	2¼"	2½"	2½"
Dec 4 sts evenly around on next rnd and every other rnd thereafter 3 more times. Next rnd: K 2 tog. around. Finish same as forefinger.
THUMB … Follow directions for thumb of Mitten.
