   These designs are made of J. & P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen or Clark's O.N.T. Cronita; and size 5 Pearl Cotton or Mercerized Crochet. Use double point steel knitting needles, or 2 millimeter size.

   Cast on 12 sts. 1st row: K 1, thread over, k 1, thread over, k 5, k 2 together, thread over, k 2 together, k 1. 2nd and all even rows: K 8, k 2 together, k 3. 3rd row: K 2, thread over, k 1, thread over, k 4, k 2 together, thread over, k 2 together, k 1. 5th row: K 3, thread over, k 1, thread over, k 3, k 2 together, thread over, k 2 together, k 1. 7th row: K 4, thread over, k 1, thread over, k 2, k 2 together, thread over, k 2 together, k 1. 9th row: K 5, thread over, k 1, thread over, k 1, k 2 together, thread over, k 2 together, k 1. 11th row: K 6, thread over, k 1, thread over, k 2 together, thread over, k 2 together, k 1. 12th row: Same as 2nd, completes pattern. Repeat for desired length.
