Pattern
Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED, Article W 11.
3-1¼ oz. Skeins White.
1 pr. Bone Knitting Needles No. 6.
Gauge: 5 sts = 1 inch; 8 rows = 1 inch.
Cast on 60 sts and work 4 rows of ribbing (K 2, P2).
5th Row. * K 1, yarn over, K 2 tog, repeat from * across row.
Next Row. * K 2, P 2, repeat from * across row, then work 3 more rows of ribbing.
PATTERN: * K 1, P 1, repeat from * across row.
2nd Row. * P 1, K 1, repeat from * across row.
Repeat these two rows for pattern. Continue in pattern until work measures 6½ inches from beginning, then work in ribbing for 5 inches.
Work in pattern for 5¼ inches, then work 4 rows in ribbing.
Next Row. Same as 5th row, then work 4 more rows in ribbing, bind off.
Press under a damp cloth. Fold in half and sew side seams together for about 6½ inches.
CORD: Take 2 3½ yd. lengths of yarn, twist both ends, fold in half, hold both ends and let twist itself. Knot one end for a 1 inch tassel, lace through beading, then knot other end.
