MATERIALS
BERNAT Nylo Germantown (2 oz. skeins) — 5 (6-6)
1 pair straight knitting needles No. 10 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL GIVE THE STITCH GAUGE GIVEN BELOW
1 aluminum crochet hook No. 5/F
16 Flower Appliqués
4 Crystals
6 Pearl Rings

GAUGE: 9 sts = 2 inches; 6 rows = 1 inch

BACK: Cast on 79(83-87) sts. Row 1: K 3(5-4), * P 1, K 5, repeat from * ending P 1, K 3(5-4). Row 2: P 3(5-4), * K 1, P 5, repeat from * ending K 1, P 3(5-4). Repeat these 2 rows until piece measures 6½(6½-7) inches. SHAPE ARMHOLES: At the beg of each of the next 2 rows bind off 6 sts. Dec 1 st each end of needle every other row 4 times. Work even on 59(63-67) sts until armholes measure 7½(7¾-8) inches. SHAPE SHOULDERS: At the beg of each of the next 2 rows bind off 6(7-8) sts. At the beg of each of the next 4 rows bind off 7 sts. Bind off remain­ing 19(21-23) sts.

LEFT FRONT: Cast on 41(43-45) sts. Row 1: K 3(5-4), * P 1, K 5, repeat from * ending P 1, K 7(7-4). Row 2: P 7(7-4), * K 1, P 5, repeat from * ending K 1, P 3(5-4). Repeat these 2 rows until piece measures 6½(6½-7) inches, ending with Row 2. SHAPE ARMHOLE: At the beg of the next row bind off 6 sts. Dec 1 st at the same edge every other row 4 times. Work even on 31(33-35) sts until armhole measures 5¾(6-6¼) inches. SHAPE NECK: At front edge bind off 7(8-9) sts once and 2 sts twice. Work even on 20(21-22) sts until armhole measures 7½(7¾-8) inches. SHAPE SHOULDER: At arm edge bind off 6(7-8) sts once and 7 sts twice.

RIGHT FRONT: Work to correspond to left front, reversing all shaping and pattern.

SLEEVES: Cast on 41 sts. Row 1: K 5, * P 1, K 5, repeat from * across row. Row 2: P 5, * K 1, P 5, repeat from * across row. Repeat these 2 rows for 1½ inches. On the next row inc 1 st each end of needle and repeat this inc every 1½(1-1) inch 6 (8-9) times more, forming new patterns as sts are increased. Work even on 55(59-61) sts until piece measures 13(13-13½) inches. SHAPE CAP: At the beg of each of the next 2 rows bind off 6 sts. Dec 1 st each end of needle every other row for 4½(4¾-5) inches. At the beg of each of the next 6 rows bind off 2 sts. Bind off remaining sts.

FINISHING: Sew underarm, shoulder and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves. Work 3 rows s c around entire jacket and on sleeves. Block. Sew appliqués on each front as shown in photograph, if desired.
