Materials:
Columbia Scotch Yarn, 4 ounce skeins. 2 skeins Navy, 8851.
Needles:
Columbia Celluloid or Boye Non-inflammable Needles, size 4.
Gauge
6 ½ sts = 1 inch. 9 rows = 1 inch.
Cast on 60 sts and work even in k 1, p 1 ribbing for 3 inches, then work even in k 2, p 2 ribbing for 14 inches (17 inches from start). Work in stockinette st for ½ inch, then dec for toe by knitting every third and fourth sts tog across row, p 1 row.
Next row, dec by knitting every second and third sts tog across row, p 1 row.
Next row, dec by knitting every second and third sts tog across row. Bind off.
Sew seam; sew across toe.
