Natural—3 2-oz. Balls
Jack Frost Sport Yarn- Green-1 2-oz. Ball

BACK: With No. 4 Needles and natural cast on 81 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 3½ in. Change to No. 8 Needles increas­ing to 92 sts. Work even in stockinette st until piece measures 9½ in. from lower edge. Change to Green and K 1 row, P 1 row, for 6 rows. Change to Natural and work cable st stripe as fol­lows: Row 1—Knit. Row 2—K 2, *P 8, K 2; repeat from * across row. Row 3—P 2, * K 8, P 2; repeat from * across row. Row 4—Repeat row 2. Row 5—P 2, * slip next 3 sts onto double pointed Needle, hold in back of work, K the next 3 sts, bring the 3 slipped sts forward and K them from double pointed Nee­dle, K 2, P 2; repeat from * across row. Row 6—Repeat row 2. Row 7—P 2, * K 2, slip next 3 sts to double pointed Needle, hold in front of work, K the next 3 sts, K the 3 sts from double pointed Needle, P 2; repeat from * across row. Row 8—Repeat row 2. Row 9—Repeat row 3. Change to Green and P 1 row, K 1 row, for 6 rows. Change to Natural and P 1 row. Bind off 7 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 7 times. Work even until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm. Bind off 5 sts at beginning of each of next 8 rows for shoulders. Change to Green increasing to 35 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 7 rows. Bind off.

FRONT: Work as given for back until piece measures 5 in. from underarm. Work over 25 sts; place on st-holder. Bind off next 20 sts for front of neck. On remaining 25 sts, work 2 rows even, then decrease 1 st at neck edge every other row 5 times. Work even until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm. Starting at shoulder edge, bind off 5 sts every other row 4 times. Work other side to correspond.

FRONT NECKBAND: With No. 4 Needles and Green on right side of garment, pick up 71 sts from end to end of neckband. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 7 rows. Bind off.
Sew shoulder and underarm seams.

SLEEVES: With No. 4 Needles and Natural cast on 69 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 1½ in. Change to No. 8 Needles and K 1 row increasing to 72 sts. Work in striped pattern as given for back then P 1 row natural; bind off 7 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 7 times. Bind off 2 sts at beginning of every row until 18 sts remain. Bind off remaining sts.

Sew sleeve seams. Sew sleeves in place.
