MATERIALS: Chadwick's Red Heart Baby Wool, 2 balls (1 oz. balls) of any color.
Milward's Phantom Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 1 (2½ mm. size).
Milward's Steel Crochet Hook No. 7.
1 yd. ribbon.

Gauge: 9 sts make 1 inch; 11 rows make 1 inch.

Starting at top of waistband, cast on 90 sts and work in ribbing of k 2, p 2, for 1¼ inches. Next row: K across, increasing 10 sts evenly apart (100 sts). Work straight in stockinette st (p 1 row, k 1 row), for 6½ inches. Dec. 1 st at both ends of each row until 20 sts remain. Bind off. Make another piece like this. Sew up crotch seam.

LEG BANDS … With right side toward you, pick up 110 sts around leg shaping and work in ribbing for ¾ inch. Bind off.

Sew up side seams. Run ribbon through center of waistband and tie at center front.

MATERIALS:
CHADWICK'S RED HEART BABY WOOL, 2 balls (1 oz. balls).
Milward's Phantom Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 4 (3½ mm. size).
1 yd. ribbon, ⅜ inch wide.

GAUGE: 7½ sts make 1 inch; 10 rows make 1 inch.

Starting at top of waistband, cast on 76 sts and work in. Ribbing of k 2, p 2, for 1¼ inches. Then work in stockinette stitch (k 1 row, p 1 row) for 6½ inches. Piece measures 7¾ inches. To shape for leg, dec. 1 st at both ends of each row until 18 sts remain. Bind off. Make another piece like this. Sew up crotch seam.

LEG BANDS … With right side facing, pick up 84 sts along entire leg shaping. Work in ribbing for ¾ inch. Bind off in ribbing.
   Sew up side seams. Press through damp cloth. Run ribbon through center of waistband, and tie.
