MATERIALS:
CHADWICK'S RED HEART BABY WOOL, 5 balls (¾ oz. balls) for each size.
Clark's O.N.T. Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 1 and 1 pair No. 3.
4 small buttons.
4 snap fasteners.

GAUGE: 15 sts make 2 inches; 10 rows make 1 inch.

BACK … Starting at the crotch with No. 3 needles, cast on 12 sts. Work in stockinette st (k 1 row, p 1 row), casting on 3 sts at end of each row until there are on needle

LEG BANDS … Sew side seams. Us­ing No. 1 needles, with right side facing and starting at end of crotch, pick up along leg opening

Work in ribbing of k 1, p 1, for 7 rows. Bind off loosely in ribbing.

COLLAR … With wrong side facing, using No. 1 needles and starting at cen­ter of Left Front band, pick up 125 sts around neck, to center of Right Front band. Work in ribbing of k 1, p 1, for ½ inch. Change to No. 3 needles and work 1 inch more. Bind off loosely in ribbing.

Sew bottom of underlap to top of waist­band. Sew sleeve seams. Work 2 rows of sc along ends of crotch, including ends of leg band. Sew 4 snap fasteners at crotch. Sew on buttons. Press with hot iron through damp cloth.
