MATERIALS
BERNAT Nylo Germantown (2 oz. skeins) — 9 Beige, 6 Tan, 4 Cinnamon 2 Chocolate, 8 Dark Brown
5 d p needles No. 10 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL GIVE THE STITCH GAUGE GIVEN BELOW
GAUGE: Each square should measure approximately 8 ½ inches.
SQUARES: Make 48. Using Beige and starting at outer edge, cast on 132 sts. Divide sts on 4 needles (33 sts on each needle). Join, being careful not to twist sts. Round 1: Knit. Round 2: * P 1, P 2 tog, P to last 2 sts of needle, P 2 tog, repeat from * to end of round — 2 sts decreased on each needle. Round 3: Purl. Round 4: Repeat Round 2. Round 5: P 29 sts of each needle. Round 6: Using Dark Brown, * K 1, K 2 tog, K to last 2 sts on needle, sl 1, K 1, psso, repeat from * to end of round — 2 sts decreased on each needle. Round 7: K 27 sts of each needle. Round 8: Repeat Round 6. Round 9: Using Tan, K 25 sts of each needle. Round 10: Repeat Round 2. Round 11: P 23 sts of each needle. Round 12: Repeat Round 2. Round 13: P 21 sts of each needle. Round 14: Using Dark Brown, repeat Round 6. Round 15: K 19 sts of each needle. Round 16: Repeat Round 6. Round 17: Using Cinnamon, K 17 sts of each needle. Round 18: Repeat Round 2. Round 19: P 15 sts of each needle. Round 20: Repeat Round 2. Round 21: P 13 sts of each needle. Round 22: Using Dark Brown, repeat Round 6. Round 23: K 11 sts of each needle. Round 24: Repeat Round 6. Round 25: Using Chocolate, K 9 sts of each needle. Round 26: Repeat Round 2. Round 27: P 7 sts of each needle. Round 28: Repeat Round 2. Round 29: P 5 sts of each needle. Round 30: Using Dark Brown, * K 1, K 2 tog, sl 1, K 1, psso, repeat from * to end of round. Round 31: K 3 sts of each needle. Break off yarn, leaving a 12 inch end. Draw yarn through remaining 3 sts of each needle and pull up tightly. Fasten off.
FINISHING: Block each square. Using Beige, sew squares tog, making afghan 6 squares wide and 8 squares long.
