MATERIALS

BERNAT Nylo Germantown (2 oz. skeins) — 18 White and 9 Black

1 pair plastic knitting needles No. 10 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL GIVE THE STITCH GAUGE GIVEN BELOW

1 steel crochet hook No. 0

GAUGE: 4 sts = 1 inch; 6 rows = 1 inch

RECTANGLE: Make 33 White and 7 Black. Cast on 25 sts. Work even in seed st until piece measures 13 inches. Bind off.

DOTS: Make 43. Using White, ch 2. Round 1: 6 s c in 2nd ch from hook. Round 2: 2 s c in each st. Round 3: * 2 s c in next st, 1 s c in next st, repeat from * to end of round. Fasten off.

FINISHING: On White rectangles work 1 row s c in White and 1 row s c in Black, working 3 s c in each corner. On Black rectangles work 2 rows s c in Black, working 3 s c in each corner. Following chart for placement, s c rec­tangles together. Using Black, work 2 rows s c around entire afghan, working 3 s c in each corner. Following chart, sew dots in place on Black rectangles. Block.
