CARRIAGE COVER: With No. 5 needles cast on 150 sts.
Pattern:
Row 1—K 2, P 2 across the row, ending K 2.
Row 2—P 2, K 2 across the row, ending P 2.
Row 3—P 2, K 2 across the row, ending P 2.
Row 4—K 2, P 2 across the row, ending K 2.
Repeat these 4 rows until cover measures 32 inches. Bind off.

BORDER: With No. 5 crochet hook, work 1 row of sc around cover.

SACQUE-BACK: With No. 2 needles, cast on 74 sts. Work in pattern as follows:
Row 1—K 2, P 2 across row, ending K 2.
Row 2—P 2, K 2 across row, ending P 2.
Row 3—P 2, K 2 across row, ending P 2.
Row 4—K 2, P 2 across row, ending K 2.
Work above 4 rows for 6½ inches.

UNDERARM: Cast on 14 sts at the beginning of each row 6 times. Place markers each end. Work even for 3½ inches. Knit 64 sts slip these on stitch holder. Bind off 30 sts for neck, knit 64. Work one inch even. Increase 1 st at neck edge every other row 3 times, then cast on 10 sts work 3½ inches. Bind off 14 sts at the begin­ning of every other row 3 times from sleeve edge.
Work 6½ inches. Bind off.
Slip sts from stitch holder and work the same as left front.

NECKBAND: Double cr in first st * chain 2, skip 2, double cr in next st. Repeat from * to end. Break yarn, single crochet all around sacque and sleeve.

BONNET: With No. 2 needles, cast on 98 sts. Work in pattern for 5½ inches. Bind off 32 sts each side. Work on center 30 sts for 4 inches. Bind off.
Sew sides to bound off sts.
Fold back one inch on front.

NECKBAND: Pick up 82 sts. Work for 1¼ inch. Bind off.
Trim with ribbon as illustrated.

BOOTIES: With No. 2 needles cast on 50 sts. Work in pattern 4½ inches.
Work over 16 sts. Slip these on st holder. Work over 18 sts slip remaining 16 sts on st holder.
Work on center 18 sts for 1½ inches. Pick up 10 sts each side, slip all sts on needles.
Work for 1½ inches.
Bind off loosely.
Sew up sole and back seam.
Trim with ribbon.
